Getting started as a Community Service Volunteer
If you have a community service requirement from the court, then you will need to attend a mandatory orientation session at our facility before any community service hours can be fulfilled. Orientation sessions are held every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. The orientation lasts about 1 hour and includes a tour of the facility. You do not need to pre-register.
You must arrive promptly at 1:00 p.m. with all the necessary court documentation concerning your community service assignment. You must complete a minimum of 4 hours of community service during each visit.
All community service volunteers must be at least 18 years.
Please review the following Community Service Guidelines to insure that you are in compliance with our safety rules and regulations:
- All volunteers must wear close toed shoes, long shorts or pants, and a tee shirt. Sandals and flip flops are not allowed in the warehouse.
- No cell phones, purses, bags or headphones are permitted in the warehouse.
- No overly tight or sexually suggestive clothing are permitted in the warehouse.
- Clothing must be free of offensive messages and graphics.
- Muscle shirts on men, women or children are not permitted in the warehouse.
Further information regarding volunteer work schedules, regulations, and dress code will be addressed in the orientation session.
