Collect food for people in need. Two volunteer positions are open to work four hours a day, five days a week at Intercontinental Airport. Volunteers can work everyday or once a month.

Farm Bill Update, calling makes a difference
Senate and House conferees met on May 1st and approved $10.365 billion in new 10-year funding for the nutrition title of the Farm Bill, which funds and reauthorizes various federal programs including TEFAP (Emergency Food Assistance Program) and FSP (Food Stamp Program). Conferees left some issues unresolved like the privatization of eligibility determination processes. Another extension will give lawmakers until May 16th to get a reauthorization passed and signed. It just takes one phone call.
