The first Hunger Action Month will take place September 2008, replacing Hunger Awareness Day, which previously occurred during the month of June.
Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to engage in the fight against domestic hunger. Through America’s Second Harvest (soon to be Feeding America) and its 205 member food banks events across the United States that directly benefit hunger relief efforts are taking place throughout the month of September.
Be on the lookout for other activities in September. There are many ways to thank volunteers, raise awareness and fight hunger. Together we can make this a groundbreaking
Hunger Action Month!
