Houston Food Bank’s Community Health team hosted its annual Community Health Summit recently with guests from all over to discuss various factors that affect nutrition of our neighbors. Sessions were held to discuss state and federally funded services, Healthy Eating Research Nutrition Guidelines, Food Prescription (FoodRX) program, Medically Tailored Meals, factors of food insecurity and the effects of advocacy for policy change.
We thank all of our guests for joining us to connect, learn, and empower each other to continue to do the good work to improve our communities and strengthen our neighbors. Together, we can spark positive change to help everyone get the nutritious foods they need.
