Understanding how Houston Food Bank can assist with a possible government shutdown
One of Congress’s responsibilities is to approve and pass the national budget. If it is not passed by the deadline, the government would go into a shutdown. We want our neighbors to be informed about the services and resources Houston Food Bank provides if you should need assistance.
What does this mean for our neighbors and the Houston Food Bank:
In the event of a government shutdown, there may be disruptions with government services like SNAP, Social Security, Medicare, WIC and other programs.
If you feel you may be affected and may need assistance, Houston Food Bank is here to help.
