Tax-Free Weekend

Texas’ tax-free weekend holiday is here! From Friday, August 9th until midnight Sunday, August 11 you can purchase qualifying items tax free from a Texas store or from an online or catalog seller doing business in Texas.No Tax Texans can save on shoes, clothes, school supplies, and backpacks under $100. There is no limit on how many items you can purchase.

The Community Cookbook

Are you a home chef who loves to cook? Perhaps you’re famous for your mouth-watering mac and cheese or tamales at holiday gatherings. We want to hear from you!

The Nutrition Education & Health Promotion Team is creating a new Community Cookbook. We’re collecting delicious and culturally rich recipes to share with our entire community.
