Your time is a gift to kids, seniors and others who may be experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers produce the equivalent of a meal a minute while helping the Houston Food Bank sort, process and pack food. And it’s fun!

Are you making a trip to volunteer at the Houston Food Bank?

Let our Volunteer Services department give you a run down of the safety guidelines so that your volunteer experience can be as rewarding (and safe!) as possible!

All volunteers must complete the waiver form in order to volunteer in our facility. You acknowledge the waiver when creating a volunteer profile or signing the physical sign-in sheet upon arrival.

If it’s hot outside, it’s hot in the warehouse! Please hydrate before, during, and after your shift. Volunteer Services makes sure all volunteers get a break. If you need more than one break, please take it.
